This two day workshop shows professional dog trainers how to set up ongoing admission classes for reactive, aggressive, and shy dogs. Cara's methods are all science-based and positive and are focused on not only changing behavior in the dogs but also on changing the emotional response of the dog. Cara's class structure results in more success for the client and the dog but also builds more business for the dog trainer over time, increasing income and setting everyone in the equation up for success! Day One of the workshop will feature a half day of dog bite analysis where trainers will learn to analyze bites to other dogs and bites to people using Cara's Bad to the Bone Hierarchies. The second half of Day One will introduce the concepts and structure of the Leash Lungers Program. In Day Two, the Leash Lungers Program will be continued with live demos of private consultations, beginning level classes, and intermediate and advanced exercises including safe dog to dog greetings and safe introduction of fearful dogs to strangers.

Cancellations and refund policy: All cancellations must be made in writing and postmarked or emailed no later than May 7, 2012 for a refund (less a $50.00 processing fee). Cancellations postmarked or emailed after May 7, 2012 and no-shows are not eligible for a refund. Refunds requested after the no-refund date related to life crises including, but not limited to the death of an immediate family member may be granted (minus a reasonable processing fee) at the sole discretion of Super-K9 Training/Michele Devenport Crouse.

Cara Shannon is the author of several DVDs on aggression, reactivity, and dog bites and is Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the IAABC. Cara also holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law and she practiced law for several years before embarking on her career with dogs. She own Buddy's Chance Dog Training and Behavior in Austin, TX where she works with aggression and leash reactivity on a routine basis.

Cara's Leash Lungers Anonymous program is being used throughout the United States with great success and is about to be started in Africa as well! In Bad to the Bone: Analyzing and Assessing Dog Bites DVD, Cara built on the work begun by Dr. Ian Dunbar in categorizing dog bites through the use of a linear hierarchy. Consulting with a veterinary behaviorist, emergency room veterinarian, emergency room physician, general practice physician, and other experts in the field of canine behavior, Cara's DVD presents comprehensive bite hierarchies for analyzing bites to humans and other dogs. Cara then uses photos and case studies to help consultants gain fluency in applying the hierarchy to actual cases and bites. New case studies will be presented in the workshop so that even people who have viewed the DVD ahead of time will experience a more in depth learning experience and come away with new material.
