BRENDA ALOFF is a professional dog trainer specializing in problem behavior. A large part of her practice consists of dogs who have been referred to her when traditional techniques have failed, often working with owners on re-socialization of fearful and aggressive dogs, Brenda's childhood love was training and showing horses. She has taken this knowledge about working with large, potentially dangerous animals and applied it to training dogs with problem behaviors. Unsatisfied with the results of "traditional" dog training, Brenda studied marine mammal training, exotic animal training and learned about wolf pack behavior. Puzzled by the lack of answers in dog lore and literature, and because traditional dog training techniques did not offer the tools needed to deal with aggressive dogs, in particular, she became an expert in behavior modification and positive reinforcement.

Brenda's Newest Books: GET CONNECTED WITH YOUR DOG WITH DVD-Getting connected with your dog allows you to build a relationship in which learning can flourish and the needs of both the dog and the owner are met. Find out how much easier it is to train your dog when he understands what you want and is in "frontbrain" mode! Includes a DVD with exercises to build you training skills.

CANINE BODY LANGUAGE - A Photographic Guide. Canine body language thoroughly documented with photographs and text! Hundreds of images in this 390 page book illustrate the incredible variety of postures, behaviors and situations that the typical dog either manifests or encounters.

Brenda's first book POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT: TRAINING DOGS IN THE REAL WORLD, was published in 2000. In 2001, this book was a finalist for the prestigious Dog Writers Association of America Award.

Brenda's Second book AGGRESSION IN DOGS-PRACTICAL MANAGEMENT, PREVENTION & BEHAVIOUR MODIFICATION, has been described as "the encyclopedia reference guide for anyone wanting to modify dog behavior".
